This partnership with Village Vets allows the DSPCA to concentrate 100% of their funding on the work of the DSPCA in the rescue of Sick, Injured and cruelly treated animals, Education and other outreach work. The activities of the DSPCA’s veterinary department within the charity and mobile unit will continue as normal and DSPCA shelter veterinarians will now be in a position to focus solely on their work at the charity.

By using the Village Vets veterinary practice at the DSPCA, clients will continue to contribute to the funding of the DSPCA charity, while benefiting from improved access to high-quality healthcare for your pets.

The collaboration will take immediate effect. As a first initiative, DSPCA and Village vets are pleased to announce a major initiative to address the issue of unwanted kittens born in Dublin each year. Last year alone DSPCA re-homed 840 unwanted kittens. This initiative known as ‘Tom Cat Tenner’ will allow Dubliners to neuter their male cats at a cost €10.00 at any Village Vets practice or at the DSPCA campus for the month of May. It is hoped that this heavily subsidized price will allow the neutering of 500 Male cats. Full details and a booking system are available on our websites. www.DSPCA.ie, www.Villagevets.ie.
